You can submit a complaint or suggestion through this portal's contact or question form, or in writing at the Rural Municipality office or your ward office. Please include your name, ward number, contact details and a clear description of the issue so the office can respond and follow up.

Under Nepal's Right to Information Act, 2007, any citizen may request public information from the Rural Municipality. Submit a written request to the designated Information Officer at the Rural Municipality office. You should receive the information, or a reason for refusal, within the time set by law.

Businesses operating in the area are registered with the Rural Municipality, and you can apply through the office or your ward. Local taxes and fees, such as property tax, business tax and house-land registration fees, are paid to the Rural Municipality; keep the receipt as proof of payment and for tax clearance.

Apply to the Rural Municipality through your ward office with the land ownership certificate, up-to-date land tax receipt, citizenship copy, and the building drawings. Technical staff review the plans under the Rural Municipality's building by-laws, and construction can begin after approval.

Allowances are available for senior citizens, single women, persons with disabilities, endangered ethnic groups and Dalit children, among others. Register at your ward office with your citizenship certificate, and a disability card or other proof where applicable. Age limits and amounts are set by the Government of Nepal and may change, so confirm the current rules with the ward office.

Citizenship certificates are issued by the District Administration Office, Ilam, not by the Rural Municipality. The ward office provides the required recommendation and supporting documents, such as the family's vital-event records. Ask your ward office which documents you need before going to the District Administration Office.

Apply at your ward office with a written application, a copy of your citizenship certificate, and any supporting documents for the purpose (for example proof of residence or relationship). The ward office issues recommendations for services such as relationship verification, residence, and low-income or disability certification.

Vital events are registered at the ward office of the area where the event took place or where you live. Register within 35 days of the event to avoid a late fee. Bring the relevant proof (for example a hospital or health post certificate for birth or death) and citizenship copies of the applicant and family members.

The Rural Municipality office and ward offices follow Government of Nepal office hours, generally 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on working days (closed on Saturdays and public holidays). Hours can change by season, so please check the latest notice on this portal before visiting.
